This series of Bargue-inspired eye studies focuses on breaking down the structure of the eye through strong contour work and careful angle comparison. I experimented with heavier line weight to emphasize the geometric foundation and planar construction of the form, giving the studies a more graphic and high-contrast feel.
While I enjoyed exploring bold inking, I’ve realized that thicker lines feel a bit too heavy for this type of classical eye study. Moving forward, I plan to refine the work with thinner, more controlled inking to better support the subtle structure and realism of the Bargue method.

Bargue Eye Study – Heavy Contour Exploration
An ink study emphasizing angular construction and proportion, using bold line weight to accentuate structural clarity within a classical drawing framework.Baroque Eye Studies – Bold Line Interpretation (Bargue Inspired)
A series of Bargue-inspired eye studies exploring structural reduction through assertive contour work.
This iteration emphasizes heavier line weight to reinforce angular relationships and planar construction, pushing the classical academic framework toward a more graphic, high-contrast aesthetic.
The focus of this study was precision in angle comparison while experimenting with visual impact through deliberate contour emphasis.Baroque Eye Study – Ink (Bargue Plate Inspired)
This study explores classical eye construction through the Bargue drawing method, focusing on precise angle relationships, structural simplification, and disciplined line control.
Executed in ink, the work emphasizes contour accuracy and controlled line weight to translate the geometric foundation of the plate into a clean, high-contrast finish.
The goal of this piece was to refine observational measurement and strengthen structural clarity within a traditional academic framework.

Teachers Rant
So, this whole mess kicked off when my teacher decided to play musical chairs with the schedule, and guess who got left standing? Yep, me. The only one in the hot seat.
No heads-up, but yet the whole class got notified except me thats what my advisor said and it was wrong so he got written up for that. When I tried to get some clarity on the schedule
it was like talking to a brick wall super dismissive and honestly he was pretty rude Too
Then we dive into the project.
Originally? Just one wedding invitation with five inspirations.
But somehow, that morphed into a circus of multiple invitations and a mountain of extra work because my designs "looked like Al."
Let me remind you - I hand drew my first invitation. Since I couldn't get my hands on Illustrator, I used the art program I've been slaving over for YEARS.
I drew the borders myself. Added paper texture overlays. Carefully selected fonts. Tweaked spacing. Balanced the layout. Focused on elegance. Documented EVERYTHING with screen recordings and time lapses too /:
Hours. Real hours.
So, I did.
With a deadline that was shorter than my patience. Barely sleeping. Barely eating. Running on caffeine and stress. Crying. Questioning my sanity. And the worst part? It's downright insulting to be accused when you're genuinely busting your ASS
When you actually care. When you're putting in the effort. I even screen recorded everything because, apparently, that's the world we live in now with teachers like THAT.

I truly dont know if I ever shared this on here.It was for a school Graphic Design Class
For my last class project, I created this RSVP invitation for a family reunion using Adobe Photoshop and InDesign. I aimed for it to look elegant and well-balanced, with clear text and a layout that’s simple to read.
I had initially thought about using more of the leaf design throughout the invitation, but I faced some difficulties adding it — so I decided to concentrate on making the invitation neat and consistent.
This quick edit demonstrates my journey from the layout to the finished product. I hope you like watching how the design turned out!
it goes like this!
CIAO!
"Reunited and it feels so good! Time for hugs, stories, and way too many insides jokes! Welcome To Our Family reunion!"
Kindly RSVP by June 10th To: Cheyannecheney10@gmail.com or text (804) 555-0197

dont quit just because something isnt working yet thats literally part of being an artist if it feels frustrating thats because youre actually seeing what needs to improve which means you have skill even if it doesnt look like it yet artists are creative by nature and that means you already have the ability you just have to keep showing up and putting in the reps even when it feels mid or annoying take breaks redo things throw stuff out if you have to but dont stop you wouldnt be thinking this deeply if you didnt have real potential
